Edinburgh: attacks continue
artdoc July=1991

A security guard admitted to the Edinburgh Sheriff Court
that he racially harassed a Sudanese doctor and his family
forcing them to move from their home.
William McKay, 28, said he shouted racist abuse at the
doctor's two daughters but denied setting fire to the man's
car. Two other men, however, confessed to the court that
they had conspired with McKay to break into the car. The
three are awaiting sentencing. (Edinburgh Evening News
15.1.91)
Meanwhile, Edinburgh District Council are making a
second attempt to evict council tenant Georgie McGinnis for
racial harassment after a Palestinian family had to be moved
from their home. (Oldham Evening Chronicle 8.1.91)
