A teenager testified to a jury at Southark Crown Court how
he was viciously attacked and beaten by two white youths.
Akhmed Ali, 15, of the Ocean Estate, Mile End Road, was
set upon and clubbed to the ground by two men who fled
leaving Ali unconscious and bleeding. Ali spent three days
in hospital. One of his attackers allegedly told detectives,
`It looks like Asians want to take the place over and my
mates aren't going to let them.' (East London Advertiser
1.2.91)
