Four Bengali youths who say they were viciously attacked
following a `Rights for Whites' march in Stepney and were
forced to act in self defence have been sentenced at the Old
Bailey after being charged with attacking a white man.
Abdul Alim, Malik Miah, and Halim Abdul were acquitted
of grievous bodily harm charges but given four months youth
custody for other offences. The fourth defendant, Abdul
Gofer, was sentenced to fifteen months youth custody for
grievous bodily harm. (City Limits 17.1.91)
