Race victim sued

The victim of a racial attack was fined ¼50 for `breach of
the peace' and his assailant fined ¼150 at Banff Sheriff
Court.
Jonathan Wayne Ali of Turiff was singled out and
attacked by two white youths as he made his way to a
telephone kiosk with a group of friends. Ali was
head-butted, kicked, and punched while his attacker, Peter
McClean, 20, of Aberdeen, and another youth shouted,
`Nigger, nigger, pull the trigger, join the National Front'
and `There's no black in the Union jack.' (Banffshire
journal 16.1.91)
