Draws on data from a variety of police and other sources
to present a picture of the educational, employment, marital,
family, and offending history of prostitutes. Also describes
the characteristics of clients using similar sources and looks
at the treatment of prostitutes by the police and courts.
Concludes that they are doubly discriminated against
through economic underprivilege and blatantly sexist
legislation. 71 notes and references
