Following a police raid on the headquarters of the British National Party in Welling, Kent, early this year the Crown Prosecution Service has decided not to prosecute. Acting on advice from the Treasury Council it decided that material taken during the raid "was not such as to give rise to a realistic prospect of conviction". The Attorney General concluded that the decision was "entirely justified."
