Tower Hamlets: Asian girls attacked outside school
artdoc May=1991

Bangladeshi girls are living in fears of gangs of youth verbally and
physically harassing them outside their schools in the Tower Hamlets
area. Despite the fact that many parents have resorted to escorting
their daughters to and from school, the harassment continues and
meetings are now being organised by the Spitalfields Kobi Nazrul Centre
and education chiefs to tackle the problem. (East London Advertiser
