On 30 June another immigrant died in a Spanish police station. It happened in Las Palmas and the deceased was a young Kenyan, not older than 25-years old who had reached the coast of the Canary Islands on a dinghy with 16 other sub-Saharans. As has happened on other occasions, the police statement says that the cause of death is unknown. The Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) trade union condemned the lack of health care for immigrants. The subsequent autopsy indicated that two heart attacks had caused the death.
