Dr Mawhinney, Minister of State for Northern Ireland, said the
following table details the number of members of the security
forces who have died or who have been injured as a result of
the security situation in Northern Ireland since 1969:

RUC 187 6,855(1)
RUC Reserve 97 -

(1) Statistics on injuries of RUC and RUC Reserve officers
are not recorded separately.
