Presents the results of a survey of Islington residents to
determine the distribution of crime in the borough, fear of
crime, crime prevention and the impact of crime on victims. Also
considers public encounters with the police, public demands on
the police, police response times, and public assessment of
police attitudes and effectiveness, relating this to the social
structure of the locality. Includes an examination of racial and
sexual harassment in the borough, heroin abuse and other areas
