Anti-Semitic campaign in the media

Chief Rabbi Dr. Moses Rosen, the leader of Romania's Jewish
community, has called for legal action to protect Jews against
growing anti-Semitism, particularly in the media. Speaking at a
Council of Europe meeting in Bucharest, the Chief Rabbi said that
an anti-Semitic campaign in the press `has been going on since
February 1990. Many newspapers publish threats, insults and
calumnies, using the vocabulary of Der Sturmer and Goebbels'
(Jewish Chronicle 8.4.94).
