This issue analyses the aftermath of attacks against immigrants in the summer in Catalunya, stressing their relationship to processes of social exclusion promoted by government institutions. It looks at immigrants as a marginalised "category" through the process of stigmatisation and social exclusion, actively encouraged by the media. Other interesting articles include a study criticising the idea that "immigration = unemployment", the dangers immigrants face on expulsion, immigrants' precarious working conditions, and an analysis of parliamentary debates on immigration.
