Patrick Gavin is one of seven Irish men who lost their lives while being held on remand at HMP Brixton. On 9.4.03 at Southwark Coroners Court a jury returned a verdict of "Accidental death - contributed to by neglect by individuals within the prison service as well as Systems neglect." The families of the seven men are calling for an independent public enquiry into their deaths.
