This piece discusses the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) and the Police Action Lawyers Group’s withdrawal of support from it along with the resignation of two members from the commission’s advisory board. The author observes that “The perception of the IPCC as a toothless watchdog is apparently contributing to a loss of confidence in the community.”
