At a meeting of the Community Police Consultative Group for Lambeth, last
month, the report `Policing Problems in Lambeth' was discussed and statistics
were released which showed that at the end of last year robbery and other
violent crimes had risen by 5,000 offences to 19,000 (DIB 2052). (The Voice
