The provisions of the Act relating to the stopping and searching
of persons and vehicles are outlined and the safeguards to the
public discussed, i.e the obligation on the part of the officer
to provide information about himself and the grounds for the
stop and search, and the requirement that officers make a written
record of the search wherever possible.
