Nottingham police pay Ã25,000 for racism

Nottingham constabulary have paid out Ã25,000 in compensation to
an Asian PC who was refused promotion and racially abused and
victimised by the force. Chief Constable, Dan Crompton, formally
apologised to PC Joginder Singh Prem. The settlement brings the
total paid out by Nottingham police for racial discrimination,
in the last 16 months, to Ã60,000. Police Review 7.5.93.
