Neighbourhood Watch warning on Afro-Caribbeans
artdoc December=1991

A leaflet, issued by a neighbourhood watch group in the Redland
area of Bristol and headed `Message from Redland Police', warns
people in the area to dial the police if they notice black people
in the area. The leaflet advises residents to contact the police
if they see Afro Caribbeans `aimlessly wandering around looking
at houses' or `knocking on doors'. It concludes `In fact if you
feel uneasy about the way either one or a group of Afro
Caribbeans are behaving dial 999 immediately.'
