INTRODUCTION:

On January 27th and 28th 1987, the Concerned Relatives and Ex-
Prisoners Committee held an inquiry into the conditions in
magilligan prison.

Magilligan Prison is situated in County Derry. It holds
approximately 300 prisoners and has been the subject of
controversy for a long time.
