Attacks on travellers on the rise

The Irish Traveller Movement have called on the Minister of
Justice to investigate why it took the police ninety minutes to
arrive at a caravan site in Bantry after a group of thirteen men
attacked six traveller families. A family with twelve children
in Bray were burned out of their caravan on 2 November. Other
attacks have been reported in Co. Cork, New Ross and Co. Wexford
(Romnews No 22. 15.11.94).
