A recently formed support group for gay and lesbian police
officers has been attacked by members of the Police
Federation.
Chairman of the Metropolitan branch of the Police
Federation Mike Bennett told reporters, `I am not against
homosexuals in the force but an association like this will
be divisive and would be like a fifth column within the
