Summarises the provisions of the Emergency Planning and Right to
Know Act 1986 which should lead to a substantial increase in the
provision of information about hazardous and toxic chemicals to
the Environmental Protection Agency and other government bodies,
and to the public. Outlines the reporting requirements of the Act
and comments on the need for the EPA, industry and other agencies
to educate the public about the significance of potentially
worrying information.
