Defense firm to switch to production of electronic tags
artdoc June=1991

Siemens Plessey Defense Systems, a leading defense contractor,
is reported to be well-advanced in the development of
electronic technology to support the Home Office's plans to
`tag' offenders. This is seen as an opportunity in the
non-military field to apply the firm's defense expertise.
