The number of migrants who have died attempting to reach the Spanish coast in dinghies is rising. In the first two days of August, 25 bodies were found in the Canary Islands. The cold statistics reveal that 80 migrants died in this manner at the beginning of August, representing a doubling of casualties over the previous year. Humanitarian organisations have also expressed concern about the recent increase in migrant children arriving from Morocco in dinghies. On 25 September, 21 minors landed in Tarifa in a dinghy.
