The object of BISS is to exchange information in order to monitor
developments in the European state. It covers: policing
(including Europol); internal security (including surveillance);
legal changes and conventions; the Trevi group; the Schengen
Agreement (including the Schengen Information System);
immigration, refugees and asylum; secrecy and data protection;
Gladio and NATO; racism and fascism; prisons; and civil
liberties.
