Three white teenagers from Leven have been found guilty of
starting a blaze in an Asian couple's shop which caused
¼20,000 worth of damages.
Despite a social worker's report on one of the three
saying that her client had racist tendencies, the youth have
denied any racial motives behind the attack saying that it had
been a `prank' gone out of control. Sheriff William Christie
fined the trio and also ordered them to carry out an allotted
number of hours servicing the community. (East Fife Mail
