EU and Nigeria sign long-awaited deportation arrangement

On 23 March the EU and Nigeria signed a long-negotiated agreement to facilitate greater deportation cooperation between the two. Talks had been ongoing for years, with the EU identifying an agreement with Nigeria as one of its top priorities. An investment package of €290m was apparently also part of the deal.
