Fifty journalists and supporters gathered at the court in Mytilini on the Greek island of Lesvos on Tuesday 11th September for the initial court procedure in a case involving the abuse of journalists for reporting on fascist activities.

One of the journalists, Anthi Pizianou, thanked all for their support. She was abused on social media following her media report of a fascist attack on a Greek girl who was wearing a headscarf whilst in a churchyard.

The procedure will continue on Thursday 13 September at 12 midday.

This report will be updated shortly.
