EU Council General Secretariat
The Council's General Secretariat (GSC) provides the ‘intellectual’ as well as the practical infrastructure for the Council. As the EU has developed, the GSC has acquired more and more executive powers, particularly in the fields of JHA, CFSP and EDSP.
