La Cimade, with Réseau Education sans frontières (RESF), Ligue des droits de l’Homme (LDH), Anafé, MRAP, Syndicat des avocats de France (SAF), France terre d’asile and ASSFAM has launched a petition calling on the new French president, Emmanuel Macron, to put an end to child migrants' detention.

In 2016, 182 children were detained in detention centres in France, four times the rate of 2014! And 4,285 minors suffered the same fate in Mayotte, a French department. France has been condemned six times by the ECHR for this practice (Popov judgment in 2012 and 5 judgments in July 2016).

The petition is online here: Plus jamais d'enfants placés en rétention (La Cimade, link)
